Code of EthicsThe Code of Ethics is a comprehensive set of rules governing
advoca’s operational principles and supplier relationships. These rules are binding for the company’s executives, employees, and suppliers.
Trust and RespectOperations among the company’s executives, employees, and suppliers are conducted on the basis of mutual trust and respect for differing opinions. Decisions and suggestions reflect a collective wisdom achieved through collaborative effort. All communications should be respectful, valuing people's work, ideas, and time. Feedback is welcomed openly, respected, and responded to honestly.
Transparency, Honesty, and OpennessAll external interactions are conducted with honesty. Discrimination based on age, sex, race, or political beliefs is not tolerated. Diversity and plurality are embraced, with a commitment to freedom of thought. Efforts are made to ensure diversity and plurality in recruitment and service operations, acting in the best interests of institutions, organizations, and communities served. Transparency, equity, responsibility, and accountability are fundamental principles in all activities.
Respect for Law and Legal ComplianceUniversal declarations, particularly those on human rights, guide all operations, which are conducted in compliance with relevant laws. Company decisions consider all legal regulations, with expert consultation when necessary. Activities and transactions, both domestic and international, adhere to Turkish and international law, providing timely, accurate, and comprehensible information to regulatory agencies and institutions. Responsibilities to public institutions, administrative bodies, non-governmental organizations, and political parties are fulfilled with integrity, without expectations of personal gain.
Respect for Privacy and Protection of Personal InformationPrivacy preferences of all individuals and entities contacted are respected, with options transparently shared in the “Privacy Statement” on all websites. Personal and private information of current and former employees and other cooperating individuals is protected and used only for legitimate company purposes.
Avoiding Conflicts of InterestAll company-related activities and decisions are made in the best interest of the company. Any potential conflict of interest situations are disclosed to the Company Board. Board members are prohibited from performing income-generating activities on behalf of the company.
Representative Activities, Gifts, and BriberyRepresentative activities (celebrations, banquets, entertainment) are only accepted or offered if they comply with the law and the code of ethics. Offering or accepting gifts, bribes, or commissions to influence business decisions is strictly prohibited.
LiabilitiesIn addition to legal liabilities, the following responsibilities to clients, employees, shareholders, suppliers, business partners, humanity, and the name of
advoca are prioritized:
1. Legal Liabilities - All activities and transactions are conducted within the regulations of Turkish and international law, with timely and accurate information provided to regulatory agencies and institutions. Responsibilities to public institutions, administrative bodies, non-governmental organizations, and political parties are fulfilled without expecting personal gain.
2. Responsibilities to Clients - Client satisfaction is prioritized, with proactive responses to needs and demands. Services are provided timely and under promised conditions, with interactions conducted respectfully, honorably, and courteously.
3. Responsibilities to Employees - Employees' personal rights are fully and correctly upheld. Employees are treated honestly and fairly, provided with a safe and healthy working environment, and supported in their personal growth and volunteer activities. A balance between work and private life is maintained.
4. Responsibilities to Suppliers/Business Partners - Fair and respectful treatment is ensured, with obligations fulfilled timely. Confidential information of business partners and related entities is securely protected.
5. Responsibilities to Competitors - Competition is conducted fairly and legally, avoiding unfair practices. Efforts are supported to ensure a competitive structure within society.
6. Responsibilities to Society and Humanity - Acting as a responsible citizen, participation in social issues, non-governmental organizations, and public services is encouraged. Gifts, products, or services that exceed their intended purpose or constitute a bribe are not accepted or offered.
7. Responsibilities to the Name of "advoca" - The highest level of trust and reputation is maintained through professional competence and honesty in interactions with business partners, clients, and other stakeholders. Company policies, professional standards, commitments, and the code of ethics are strictly followed. Services are provided within areas of professional capability, aiming to work with clients, partners, and employees who meet standards of integrity and legality, avoiding those who harm social morals and health. Public statements made on behalf of the company reflect the company’s opinions. In complex situations that may pose risks, relevant personnel are consulted following established procedures.
Responsibilities of the Employeesadvoca’s code of ethics, related policies, and procedures detail expected behaviors and work practices. Compliance with these rules is the primary responsibility of all employees. Accordingly, all
advoca employees are responsible for:
- Acting in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Reading, understanding, internalizing, and acting in accordance with the code of ethics and its principles and values.
- Learning specific policies and procedures for general and business affairs.
- Consulting with relevant managers or human resources in cases of potential violations.
- Reporting any violations, whether their own or others, immediately to a manager, human resources, or the Ethics Committee, with or without anonymity.
- Cooperating fully with the Ethics Committee during investigations and maintaining confidentiality regarding the investigation.
